Gallant Ho

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 2000, Ho furthered his studies and earned a Master of Music at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, with a scholarship from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. He has been a violinist with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra since 2002 and is now a part-time faculty member at HKAPA and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ho has won First Prize in the Sandra Wagstaff Scholarship for Strings Concerto Competition, Second Prize in the Hong Kong Commercial Radio Award and Third Prize in the Kocian Violin Competition (Youth Class) in the Czech Republic. As a soloist, he has performed with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra and the Academy Symphony Orchestra of HKAPA. In 2000, he was invited to perform in the Pacific Music Festival.
